Dr. Camp is originally from Tennessee where he attended and played baseball at Lee University.  He attended medical school and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following residency, he completed two years of fellowship training and research in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York where he worked with the New York Mets. Now, he is a practicing sports medicine surgeon at the Mayo Clinic where he treats athletes of all ages and serves as the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director. His clinical practice focuses on treatment of shoulder, elbow, and knee injuries in athletes. Academically, he has published extensive research on sport related injuries, with a special focus on injuries impacting overhead athletes and baseball players. He is currently the Medical Director and Director of High Performance for the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, and he serves as the Team Orthopedic Surgeon for the Minnesota Lynx.
