Dr. Glenn S. Fleisig, Ph.D., is the Research Director of the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI). Fleisig earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT, MS in mechanical engineering from Washington University, and PhD in biomedical engineering from UAB. After a research internship at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, Fleisig was hired in 1987 by the newly founded American Sports Medicine Institute to head up the research division, a position he has held for 30 years.

In addition to his work at ASMI, Dr. Fleisig is an adjunct professor at UAB and serves as chair of the USA Baseball Medical & Safety Advisory Committee, injury research advisor for Major League Baseball, safety consultant for Little League Baseball, and board member for Motus Global.
