Dr. Tanka is an orthopedic surgeon based in Kurume, Fukuoka, Japan. He graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Saga University, Saga, Japan in 2010. He will take a degree of PhD in March 2019. This article in the American Journal of Sports Medicine entitled,
“Effect of Estrogen-Deficient State on Rotator Cuff Healing.”  is his thesis for a degree of PhD. He  specializez in shoulder & elbow surgery.  A member of the Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA)and Japan Shoulder Society(JSS. He has been nominated for Best Poster Awards in Shoulder and Elbow section, AAOS 2018 Annual Meeting March 6-10, New Orleans, Louisiana and Best Poster Prize in 28th SECEC-ESSSE CONGRESS  (EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR SURGERY OF THE SHOULDER AND THE ELBOW)Geneva 2018, Switzerland, September 19-22, 2018.
