Dr. Cailbhe Doherty is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Wearable Sensor Technology in the Insight Centre for Data Analytics at University College Dublin, Ireland. He obtained a degree in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin in 2011, and completed his PhD there in 2015.
Dr. Doherty’s primary area of research interest relates to musculoskeletal injury; in particular, how movement strategies predicate long-term outcome following injury, the relevance of these strategies in the context of the development of rehabilitation programs, and the composition of these programs during injury management. His current research is focused on the utilization of wearable sensor technology to monitor recovery/rehabilitation efficacy following injury.
Dr. Doherty also teaches in the undergraduate programs for Physiotherapy and Health and Performance Science at UCD.
