Dr Bugbee is an attending physician in the Division of Orthopaedics, Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, California and Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, University of California, San Diego. His clinical interests are in arthritis surgery of the hip and knee, joint replacement and cartilage restoration and transplantation. Research interests include osteochondral transplantation, cartilage tissue engineering and biologic response to implants.
